Fremont R/C Flyer Club Rules  (revised 11/20/2006)
1. WHO CAN FLY -  Club members who are paid up and members of the AMA or MAAC or guests of club members.  Guests must be members of the AMA or MAAC and be hosted by a club member who is at the field.  Local guests may fly a maximum of three days per year, out of town guests with AMA cards are not restricted on the number of flying sessions.  Non AMA/MAAC members can fly for a period of 30 days under direct supervision of one of the club Introductory Pilots after that they must join AMA.  In all instances, the host is responsible for the safety and conduct of the guest.
2. WHEN CAN YOU FLY - Any time between 9:00 AM and 7:30 PM, you be the judge of when it is too dark to fly.
3. WHERE CAN YOU FLY - Takes-offs must be from the runway not from the taxi-way.  No intentional flying over or behind the pits, parking, or spectator areas.  Airplanes must not be taxied into or around the pits.  Do not fly over your head or near spectators.
4. HOW DO YOU FLY - All flying must be in accordance with AMA rules which are provided with your AMA membership card.  In addition, the following club guidelines must be followed:
1.       Aircraft must be restrained while starting.
2.       When fixed wing aircraft and helicopters are flying together, ALL pilots must fly the pattern.  Hovering over the runway is not allowed.
3.       3D and Freestyle flying (both fixed wing and heli) is only allowed when the 3D/Freestyle pilot is the only aircraft in operation.  If a pilot is flying 3D/Freestyle, no other pilot can take off until the 3D/Freestyle pilot has completed his flight.  Before initiating a 3D/Freestyle flight, a pilot must announce his intentions to all other pilots in the pits so that he may get the open sky for his flight.
4.       It is the responsibility of each pilot to make sure all spectators maintain a safe viewing distance before initiating a flight.
5. NOISE - All airplanes must be equipped with mufflers and meet the 92db limit as measured at 12 feet.  Scale models are exempt from the noise rules for up to four (4) flights per day.
6. RADIO EQUIPMENT - Any transmitter not in the impound area must have the club frequency marker - transmitters not in active use must be in the impound area.  All club members have the obligation to enforce this discipline.  All frequencies between 11 and 60 may be used.  All equipment must meet 1991 FCC standards.
7. PILOT CLASSIFCATION - A Pilots are instructor pilots and the rating is awarded by club vote.  B Pilots must be familiar with AMA and club rules, be familiar with preflight of airplanes and radio checkout procedures and able to make controlled take-offs and landings without undo risk to by-standers or their aircraft.  B Pilot  ratings can be conferred by any A Pilot or Club Officer who did not sponsor that pilot.  C Pilots are novice or rusty pilots that can fly only under the supervision of an A Pilot.
8. MEMBERSHIP - Must be sponsored by a club member and be accepted by a club vote after a thirty day probation period.  Any new member must be accepted by all club officers.  A new member must be at a club meeting to be accepted as a member.  The total club membership is capped at forty (40) members.  Members are expected to participate in club activities.  Attendance at meetings is expected.  Remember it is your club and cannot function without support.
9. HOUSEKEEPING - We are committed to keeping the field free of litter.  It is up to the club members to police any litter on the field.  If you bring it - take it home.
10. ENFORCEMENT - Members developed and approved these rules and are expected to live by them.  It is the responsibility of all members to discuss frequency control or safety issues with the offenders.  If concerns are not addressed, and incident report must be filed for review as per the grievance policy in the club bylaws.
11. DUES - Schedule - January 1 100%, August 1 50%, October 1 30%, after Nov 1 the next years dues are required.  The annual dues will be established by club vote.  Dues for members children living at the same address will be $5.00 (the children must be AMA or MAAC members to fly).
